Mike is running for the Nassau County Legislature to fight for affordability, safety, and a better community. Our neighborhood deserves a legislator who refuses to accept the status quo and will never stop looking for ways to improve our area. Mike is ready to fight for a more affordable Nassau County.
A dedicated husband, father, and Merrick resident of nearly ten years, Mike and his wife, Briana, are raising their three children here. With two sons at Norman J. Levy Lakeside Elementary and a daughter soon to join them, Mike is deeply invested in our neighborhood's future.
An attorney by trade, Mike served as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens after graduating from St. John’s University School of Law in 2011. Now a Partner at the law firm Rivkin Radler LLP, Mike has spent the last eight years handling complex cases involving fraud and healthcare. Throughout his legal career, he has built a reputation for working smart, acting efficiently, and delivering results.
Beyond his professional life, Mike is committed to giving back. He spent years teaching high school and law school students—including those at Hofstra University—how to advocate and think like trial attorneys. More recently, Mike became an active leader at the Merrick Jewish Centre, where he serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Board. In these roles, he focuses on growing membership and strengthening the synagogue’s financial health. Mike also coaches his son’s Little League baseball team and is an active member of the Lakeside Elementary School PTA.
In every role, Mike is a "doer" who refuses to wait for others to take the lead. He steps up because he wants to cut through the nonsense and ensure tasks are handled correctly. He believes in active leadership rather than sitting on the sidelines. Mike is ready to bring his no-nonsense approach to the County Legislature to deliver real results for our community.

No-Nonsense!

The rising cost of living is a threat to the suburban dream here in Nassau County, and I will advocate for common-sense solutions to provide residents with much-needed relief. This begins with supporting the South Nassau Water Authority’s acquisition of Liberty Water, which will lower rates to our water bills, and keeping the Water Authority accountable to making meaningful progress towards the acquisition. I will also work to overhaul Nassau’s broken real estate tax system. For too long, the burden has been placed on homeowners to grieve their taxes try and get a more fair rate. I will fight to move toward a fair and transparent assessment process that provides homeowners with an accurate rate and eliminates the exhausting need (and cost) to file tax grievances every year. My goal is to ensure that our neighborhoods remain affordable for those that live here and for the next generation of families.

As a former prosecutor, I have seen firsthand how essential a fully staffed and well-funded police department is to the stability of our community. I will fight to ensure the Nassau County Police Department has the resources necessary to properly staff our local precincts and provide officers with the advanced training they need to keep our neighborhoods safe. I have seen the impact of officer shortages, and I will not let our neighborhoods be underserved. I will serve as a proactive bridge between our residents and law enforcement, ensuring that your safety concerns are heard and that our district remains a place where every family feels secure.

The unique brick-and-mortar shops of Merrick and Bellmore are an essential part of our community, and I will be their advocate in the County Legislature. I will fight to reduce the regulatory burdens and county-level costs that make it difficult for small businesses to thrive long-term, knowing that when we lower the overhead for our local entrepreneurs, those savings are passed directly to our consumers. A thriving small business community helps the entire neighborhood thrive. By cutting red tape, I will ensure our small businesses have the support they need to remain a vibrant part of our local economy.
